Plantaris - Matte Black W/Prizm Grey

The Oakley Plantaris brings a completely new edge to the sportswear brand's performance eyewear division. Part of the cutting-edge Sentio program, the Plantaris was developed with design and communications agency organiclab.zip.

The unique arm design is also the namesake for the model itself. Made from split titanium wire covered in a silicone ear sock, the shape is inspired by a frog's foot—with 'plantaris' being the main muscle responsible for a frog's impressive leap. The rest of the frame is executed in a two-piece construction, with ventilation along the brow and striking metal barbs on the curve of the lower half. The nose pads feature a flip-up design inspired by the Racing Jacket, allowing for easier lens swapping.

One of the more novel additions to the model is a removable noseguard, inspired by vintage alpine eyewear.
